Antelope Taxidermy Classes:
Master Taxidermist Bill Atkins is the instructor in all of the
Taxidermy Classes on Video. In the Antelope Taxidermy Class, each
step of the taxidermy process is explained and filmed with detailed, close-up
footage.
Bill starts
with a tanned antelope cape (hide) and takes the students through each step to a
completed Antelope mount. He starts by taking the measurements to order
the manikin and eyes. Then he prepares the hide for mounting, and the
manikin to receive the hide (cape).
He discusses
different techniques for removing and cleaning the horns from the skull.
This is a different process than on antlered animals. Bill leaves
nothing out as he show how to mount the antelope - sculpting, setting the eyes,
preparing the ears, attaching the horns, sewing, final finish work and painting
are all covered.
The result is a beautiful trophy antelope mount any hunter would be
proud to have in the game room!
