Squirrel Taxidermy Classes:

Master Taxidermist Bill Atkins is the instructor in all of the Taxidermy Classes on Video.   This DVD class is a complete 2 hours long, and Bill leaves nothing out.  Squirrels are excellent animals to start learning, but they are so small they require some special care to get a really life-like mount. 

Bill starts with taking the measurements and covering the taxidermy supplies and tools needed.  Then he teaches how to skin, flesh and clean the hide.  He shows how to preserve the hide for the mounting process.

Then Bill explains how to prepare the manikin to receive the squirrel skin.  He teaches how to set the eyes, prepare the ears and feet - every step is covered and nothing is left out.

When the drying time is done, he shows how to do all the finish work and detail painting for a beautiful completed climbing squirrel mount.
